Betsy and Baking

I’ve wanted to make a cover for Betsy, my kitchen aid mixer since I got her.

I found some leftover projects and fabric and decided to make one with what I had on hand.

Very happy with how it turned out. Now Betsy is covered while waiting for more baking projects.

Potato flake starter. Have you ever tried this?

Sourdough started that my friend, Barb, dropped off for me. I fed it this morning, then I’m going to make a dough and let it die over night before baking. Wish me luck!!

Knitting: beginner level

I’ve decided to teach myself to knit. My plan is to replace all my sponges and rags with 100% cotton dish cloths.

I’m also attempting to make myself an owl with this gorgeous wool yarn I got on clearance at JoAnn fabrics.

Homemade Rye Bread

I did not have caraway seeds. So I did it without. I needed another 10 minutes in the oven I think. I’m not a patient person, and I removed the loaf just before it reaching 200 internally. So follow the directions!! I like me.

Delicious bread! I will be making this again for sure.

Banana Bread

It may be time to rewrite the recipe on a protected card 🤣🤣

On a side note, it usually takes longer to cook. Just check every 5 minutes or so with a toothpick! Don’t cook too long or it will dry out.
