Graduation

My husband has officially graduated from the doctoral program at the University of Portland. We’re so proud!

Scrimmage

Abbey had her first softball scrimmage of the season. Felt great to be out on the field watching her. However, I got the first sunburn of the season. Eek. Sensitive skin burns no matter what the weather is doing! Think I should know this by now as I’m in my mid 40’s 😏

New puppy

What have we done?!?!?! We got a new puppy. A black lab, we named Lucy. Super cute. Cries a lot at night. Pees everywhere. Can’t hold her bladder in her crate. Has the sharpest teeth EVER. Chews and bites every single thing she can fit into her mouth. She snores. She steals Charlie’s food (our dachshund) she chases Charlie. She tries to bite his tail. But man oh man, she is a fluff ball and SO cute and I’m praying to keep it together the next several months while I potty train her. Wish me luck.

My husband, the Doctor

So proud of my husband. He successfully defended his dissertation to the board and is now a Dr! Ed.d, not a Ph.d. So he’s a academic Dr.

3 very hard years of school on top of his schedule – but he did it!!!

Even his cap and gown are labeled “Doctor”

Daily musings

I love fresh new pens and pencils for journaling. Highlighters I adore!!

Dinner last night was soft tacos and I made a hefty amount of chili dip. So delicious.

I’m enjoying this bible study of Sirach I’m doing online with a group of Catholic friends.

I’m working on a Catholic felt book for my Etsy shop.

Anna starts back up with voice lessons this week. She’s also starting piano lessons for the first time. Abigail is getting back into the swing of things with softball season. Our Nicholas is gearing up for the Pokémon tournament at the end of the month in Portland.  Thomas has completed boot camp for the Coast Guard and is happily enjoying his current station in Alabama.

I’m looking forward to spring and gardening and planting veggies. I’m even planting a small garden with the middle school youth group.
