its been a busy week or so of getting things done in our yard. I’ve been dreaming of a fire pit with plenty of chairs, for us to relax in after a long week. With Jeromy starting his doctorate program, and being back in school (in addition to his crazy full regular job) I knew we wouldn’t be planning any big vacations this summer. Last week we sat around, roasted hot dogs and made s’mores. It was great!
Abbey and I fashioned a six foot long trellis from gardening twine and bamboo for our peas. I’m so excited. There were many weeds that had to be removed before we could plant in that area. We planted some squash, tomatoes, snap peas, cilantro, basil and rosemary.
For June book group, we decided to pick two books. The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult, and The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman. I also bought, Hands Free Mama by Rachel Macy Stafford.
Baseball and softball are coming to a end. Abbey has been pitching a lot, and doing well. Nick has moved to 2nd base and is really enjoying that position. Anna just started a summer fast pitch league. Lots of practices so far, but no games yet.
Tonight the the girls and I have plans to go buy new sandals and a few presents for upcoming birthdays and our nephews graduation from high school!
